Our Passion and Commitment
Globetrotter Driver CPC Training was formed with the sole aim of providing meaningful Driver CPC solutions. Having spent his whole career in the Logistics and Transport Sector, our course designer and lead trainer David Scott-Smith CMILT has a true understanding of the Driver's role.
David has, in his time, served as a European Driver, Transport Manager and Transport Trainer.
Cutting his teeth as an 80’s International Lorry Driver, David spent a road pounding period of time navigating the roads and rules of Europe and later then progressed through the Transport Manager and Transport Trainer route, constructing courses for Jobcentre Plus and a Technical Certificate for The City & Guilds Driving Goods Vehicles NVQ.
David also spent 10 years representing the South Eastern area for the Road Haulage Association (RHA), working at the coal face as an Area/Compliance/Training Manager, directly assisting Operators and Drivers out of some awkward compliance related pickles! Sadly, in the later years with the RHA, David felt that his prime role of support, advice and guidance seemingly withered away and so it was time to make a change.
David has a firm understanding of a modern Transport Operation and has a proven track record in assisting Operators maintain a full and effective control of their transport operations and helping Drivers to maintain a legal footing.
However, ask David what he classes himself as, the answer will always be a DRIVER!

David is passionate about:
- Improving road safety
- Recognising, underpinning and developing the knowledge and skills that are needed for a professional driver to undertake his/her duties.
- Keeping drivers up to date with new legislation applicable to them (i.e. drivers' hours, digital tachographs etc)
- Raising the profile and professionalism within the transport industry.
Meet The Company Kingpin
David's wife, Eunice, is the Company Kingpin. Nicknamed as "Norman The Foreman" she ensures that all training tasks are completed on time and on budget, ensures that David is in the right place and manages the bookings and uploading of all JAUPT information.
Eunice has a transport training past after running a project for Kent County Council, training deprived youngsters for their Car Licences and finding successful candidates van driving roles.
She manages the whole of Globetrotter Driver CPC Training and our sister Company LGV Divers Choice Ltd on a daily base.
